BigDecks are designed to endure.

Built by People Who Care

BigDecks is built by a small, experienced crew that takes responsibility for the work from start to finish. We design, build, and finish every project with the understanding that these spaces will be used every day and lived with for years.

  • We use substantial Douglas Fir beams, often in 4×12 sections, sourced from the Pacific Northwest and kiln dried for stability. Western Red Cedar and thermally modified woods are used when the design calls for them. Stone, steel, and site sourced materials are integrated as part of the structure, not decoration.

Finishes are oil based. Grain is left visible. Aging is expected and respected.

  • We design and build complete outdoor environments. Decks, saunas, cold plunges, outdoor bathing spaces, landscaping, and site work are treated as one system.

The goal is not spectacle. It is daily use. Morning routines, long evenings, real weather, and quiet moments outside.

  • We overbuild where it matters and keep details simple where it counts. Every decision is made with long-term performance in mind.

BigDecks are meant to feel solid underfoot, settle into the site, and improve with time.

Every project starts with a deck. We are fully happy to design and build a standalone BigDeck. If the site and vision call for it, we can also expand into saunas, cold plunges, outdoor bathing, landscaping, and complete backyard builds.

Tell us about your space and what you are considering. We will take it from there.
