What we build
From the boards underfoot to the steel that frames them, every BigDecks project is custom, priced clearly, and built to last.
Real-wood decks in Douglas fir, Western red cedar, ipe, or thermally modified wood. Built right, properly sloped to drain, finished in penetrating Cutek Extreme oil. Pressure-treated builds available in any color.
Saunas, cold plunges, hot tubs, and copper outdoor showers, built into the deck. We size the whole ritual to your footprint and set it on engineered drainage with easy service access.
Privacy screens, boundary fencing, and ornamental walls that anchor the landscape. Functional, clean, and built to complement the deck and the rest of the yard.
Strength meets style. Precision metalwork from structural framing to sleek custom accents and gates. It is the detail that gives every BigDecks project its edge.
Craftsmanship with backbone. From custom decks to fine detailing, traditional skill meets modern design. Structures that feel solid, look sharp, and stand the test of time. Every cut counts.
The ground around the build. Texas limestone pavers, decomposed granite, pea gravel, and steel edging, plus seasonal West Texas plants like ocotillo, agave, and sotol. Detailed to suit the site.
Pick your wood. Pick your finish.
Two tiers, both real builds. Solid real wood finished in Cutek Extreme, or pressure-treated pine in a heavy-body color of your choosing.
Solid wood decking, finished in Cutek Extreme. Our OG profile is a 4x12, run long and continuous with exposed steel nail heads. The same look comes in fir or cedar.
The value build. Pressure-treated pine in a heavy-body finish that hides the green and unifies the surface. Pick a color from the range, matched to a physical sample before we finish.
Tiles are our standard colors. Custom colors mixed to your selection. Final match is made to a physical sample before we finish.
End cross-sections at their dressed dimensions. The OG is the 4x12, the big board the whole look is built on.
Standard Decks
Not every yard needs a thirty-thousand-dollar build. Standard Decks is our entry line: solid pressure-treated pine, built square and to code, most up in two or three days. A fair flat price, set before you ever call. It's not the overbuilt, above-code work our premium line is known for, and it isn't trying to be. Same crew, same care. This is what we do, and we do it well.
144 sq ft · ground level
A grill, a couple of chairs, and a real place to stand on a Sunday. The easy first upgrade to a backyard.
Most picked
192 sq ft · ground level
Room for a table and real seating. The size most families land on once they think it through.
320 sq ft · ground level
Space to host. Dinner on one end, lounging on the other, nobody fighting for a chair.
The honest difference from our premium line: Standard Decks is built to code, not above it. Code-compliant posts, square and level framing, in bare pressure-treated pine. It comes unfinished by default. Railing and finish are separate, so you add only what you want and skip what you don't. Opt for finishing and we sand it and coat it in the color you pick. Every flat price covers the pine deck built to code, footings on a normal lot, and a clean site when we leave. Finish and color from $575, pine railing $55 per ft, steps and shade quoted on top in plain numbers. You see every number before anything starts. No surprise line items, ever.
Sauna · Cold plunge · Shower · Landscape
Heat, cold, a place to rinse, and the ground around it. We design the bathing setup around the deck footprint and build it in, so it reads as one piece, not bolted-on equipment.
Barrel, pod, cube, or cabin. Wood-fired or electric, sized by seats and matched to the deck. The Orca is a hand-built cedar-shake cabin that seats two to four.
Orca · SaunaLife · Iglucraft · ThermaSol · Mande
Chilled or ambient water, sized for one or shared. Square cedar-clad or stainless, with combination chiller and heater and built-in filtration.
SaunaLife · Icetubs
Wood-fired soaking in spruce, ThermoWood, or fiberglass-insert builds. Seats four to seven, heated by an integrated wood burner.
Iglucraft · SaunaLife · Mande
The Orca shower in copper and brass, a living finish that patinas with use. Cold-water rinse or a hot-and-cold mixer, standard or extended riser.
Orca copper & brass
Cut Texas limestone, decomposed granite, pea gravel, and steel edging. Warm surfaces that age soft around the bath.
Limestone · DG · Pea gravel · Steel edging
When the lineup does not fit the site, we draw one that does. It starts as a sketch: the footprint, the seats, the heat, the view. We design it, detail it, and build it.
Designed and built for the project
Outdoor bathing is priced per project. We spec the units, design the deck around them, and give you one clear quote.

Our process
Tell us what you're building. Send photos, sizes, or just an idea.
We come out, take measurements, and talk through wood, finish, and layout.
Anything with a site plan or multiple components needs real design before a price can mean anything. We build a 3D design and plan so you see the project before we build it. It carries a fee, because it is serious work and expensive to do well, and that fee is credited back to your build when you move forward.
A clear, written scope and price. Approve it and we lock your install dates.
We build on schedule, keep the site clean, and close with a full walkthrough.
What to expect
We work hard to hit every date we set, and most of the time we do. Weather is the one thing we cannot control, and a long stretch of it can move a timeline. When that happens we tell you early and keep the schedule honest.
Work areas stay organized and controlled. No lingering chaos.
Every install begins with a written scope so expectations stay aligned start to finish.
Each phase is documented, so you always see what's happening and when.
We close every install with a structured walkthrough and formal handoff.

A few common questions
Two tiers. Real wood in Douglas fir, Western red cedar, ipe, or thermally modified wood, finished in penetrating Cutek Extreme oil. Or pressure-treated pine in a heavy-body finish, matched to any color you pick. We help you choose the right one for your budget, your look, and how the space gets used.
Yes. We build the full outdoor bathing setup: saunas, cold plunges, hot tubs, and copper outdoor showers, plus the landscape around them. We spec the units from makers like Orca, SaunaLife, Iglucraft, and Icetubs, then design the deck and drainage around them so it reads as one piece.
Per project, with one clear written quote before any work starts. After a site visit we put the full scope, materials, and price in writing. No work begins until you approve it.
For straightforward builds, no. For anything with a site plan or multiple components, we use Design Assist, a paid 3D design and plan so you can see the project before we build it. It is not free, because real design work is involved and it is expensive to do well. The Design Assist fee is credited back to your build when you move forward, so it is not money lost, it is money applied to the project.
Most projects run a few weeks from the day we break ground, depending on size, materials, and scope. You get a defined timeline before we start, and we run installs on schedule.
Real wood is finished in penetrating Cutek Extreme oil for long-lasting protection. A periodic re-oil keeps it looking and performing its best, and we walk you through exactly how at handoff. Pressure-treated builds carry a heavy-body finish that holds color longer.
At your request, we manage permits and inspections for you. Otherwise, clients handle permits directly — and we tell you exactly what your project needs either way.
